Deep Thinking Off Ramps  An old topic, but rehashed thru several conversations happening at once. Some fields have researched structures where the concept and function of “deep thought work” is Er, the outputs are often more baluster than the work. You are compensated for what you can measure. You measure what you see. You don’t see thinking.  Deep thinking gets its best value when it’s products create roads which incite decisions to be made, or for a “hive mind” process (collaborative thinking) to take the baton. Without that road or off-ramp, deep thinking is not seen as productive; and by “profit terms” is settled as detrimental to productivity.
